Emergency first aid at work

This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering:

• Adult resuscitation (CPR)
• Burns and scalds
• Choking adult
• Communication and casualty care
• Defibrillator prompts and how to respond
• Defibrillator pad placement
• Minor and severe bleeding
• Role of a first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
• Seizures
• Shock
• Unresponsive adult

Delivered by our Friends at Spartan Training, this course is assessed with continuous observation and assessment throughout the day,

successful candidates will receive a certificate. 

All courses last for 1 day between 9am and 5pm,

Lunch can be provided at additional cost.

Water is available for free, various soft drinks are available to purchase on site.

Located a stones throw from Carlisle train station, with a car park right outside, our Friends at Alien Nightclub Carlisle kindly accommodate this training course.

Lunch, where booked, is provided by the neighbouring Ibis hotel Carlisle City Centre which also doubles up as a great place to stay if accommodation is required*.

Travelling to the Location:

Alien night club Carlisle is situated on English gate plaza, CA1 1RP.

By Car: a pay and display car park is available right outside.

By Bus: travel to Ibis hotel bus stop on Botchergate, with your back to the road Alien night club is the other side of the building directly in front of you.

By Train: exit Carlisle train station onto Court square,

walk up to the traffic lights and turn right onto Botchergate,

continue walking towards The Ibis Hotel, just before you reach The Ibis Hotel there is an opening  (looks like a V shape with Botchergate)

head through the opening towards the car park,

Alien night club is the second business on your left.
